A BILL to amend article nine, chapter sixty-four of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section twenty-three, relating to amending the West Virginia Board of Physical Therapist rule relating to English proficiency requirements for licensing individuals outside the United States.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article nine, chapter sixty-four of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section twenty-three, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 9. AUTHORIZATION FOR MISCELLANEOUS AGENCIES AND BOARDS TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.

§64-9-23. Physical Therapist Board.

The legislative rule contained in title sixteen, series one, and filed in the state register on the eleventh day of May, two thousand, under the authority of section one, article twenty, chapter thirty of this code, relating to the West Virginia Board of Physical Therapy (General Provisions, 16 CSR 1) is reauthorized with the following amendment:
On page five, section ten, subsection c, by striking out the entire subsection.


NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to amend the Physical Therapy Board, General Provisions Rule requiring English proficiency for the licensing of individuals who are from outside the United States.

This section is new; therefore strike-throughs and underscoring have been omitted.
